This summer I traveled out west to Estes Park, Colarado for our annual family reunion. Estes Park is right outside Rocky Mountain National Park . As an Eagle Scout and outdoorsmen I love to hike and backpack. So being in a place like RMNP was like heaven on earth. I was invited by a friend to join him and his buddies on a rock climbing expedition - little did I know that it would be modified 4x4's climbing huge boulders!
During the ride, one of the beefier vehicles sheared the bolts holding his left rear tire off and we had to fashion a log to support the axel and drive out of the forest in THREE wheel drive. Fun times!

My father and I went to Ft. Benning, GA to go to the National Infantry Muesum that had been opened pretty recently. We saw some pretty interesting things while we were there, including \'Iron Mike" ( statue in the picture), some military tanks ( in picture) and POW MIA Memorial. I learned a lot that day, which made my appreciation for our military continue to grow.
On a mission trip in central Dominican Republic, my good friend Andy Miller and I snapped a few pictures with the Buffalo and Company Honor Your Wild Banner as the sun rose over the mountains. The trip started at 4AM and we hiked in the dark up the steep slope for two and a half hours just in time for the sunrise. Honor Your Wild.
